Shutter

What is the purpose of a third wheel? The way I see it, is the third wheel is the lead wheel. (Maybe this is because that way it benefits me in some small way) But we see the third wheel as a lead when we look at a tricycle. The back two wheels are definitely paired thus leaving the front wheel (third wheel) as the lead, direction and even momentum. How does this relate to anything, you ask? Well, today was another day I spent 'third wheeling', which is something that has become ever so present with all my best friends finding girlfriends/boyfriends.
I will blame my lack of a girlfriend on my inability to remain focused on someone with so many inspiring things becoming distractions or on the fact that I could never ask a girl out for utter fear I would make their life miserable. (I joke, partially) Well, back to third wheeling. Today was not bad in a 'tagging along' sense, as I did have my love with me; my camera, and also due to the fact that I was with two other shutter bugs snapping away. I really respect Jacob and Grace and they may well be the cutest couple solely due to the fact that they are both creatively minded, which I find cuter than a sweet girl blushing.
Once again, back to third wheeling. I didn't at all feel that sense of loneliness or longing which I sometimes feel around couples, especially young couples, reaffirming that I do not yet know how to love. I thought that when I shed a tear in a film recently I had found it, but alas!,  I just ended having to convince myself once again that 'Yes Joshua, it's okay to cry', but also it's okay to stick your head into a cream-cake, but it doesn't make you a better person for doing so.

Stay cool, and don't go wearing cream on your face. (But feel free to cry, just don't do it too loud)

Bro, it was the best hanging out with ya. Third wheel or not, it was a good day. Even if it did mean ripping skids on the neighbours lawn.....

Bro, you have an amazing way of describing things. I love how you love and how you think through love in such a vulnerably communal way.
Thank you for sharing.
I hope our paths cross again soon.
Peace

i was used to think that the third wheel was the reject wheel, the awkward wheel that doesn't belong there. but to think of the third wheel as being the lead wheel, your mind is wonderful. i feel empowered!
